Our Core Strategy

To position Saxon Hill Academy as the leading provider of integrated education and care for pupils with complex medical and physical needs in Staffordshire. We achieve this through a bespoke, multi-disciplinary curriculum, family-centred support, and high-quality day and residential services — making our provision distinctive from both mainstream and other specialist schools.

Our strategy goes beyond excellence within our own setting. We aim to inspire the wider community to embrace inclusive values, encouraging schools, services, and society to adopt more accessible, person-centred approaches to education.

Our vision

Every child a Leader -  In learning and Life

 - Our pupils are empowered to take the lead, shaping each moment and their futures.

 - We create a community that embodies inclusion, inspiring our wider community to embrace and champion inclusion for all.

Our Mission

 - To provide pupil-led, high-quality education, care, and support for children with complex medical, physical, and educational needs.

 - We create a joyful learning environment that nurtures curiosity, inspires a love of learning, and broadens horizons beyond the classroom.

 - Through real-world experiences and first-hand opportunities, we excite, motivate, and engage every young person — no matter how complex their needs.

 - We embed key knowledge and skills through thoughtful revisiting and reinforcing, always working to increase independence and confidence.

Our specialist and expert workforce are passionate and committed to working in special education and will know each student as an individual, recognising their unique talents, skills and interests. Staff teams develop strong and positive relationships with our pupils in order to support them effectively. They embrace current and evidence-based research, which results in the best possible outcomes for students.
We work with therapeutic specialists and external agencies to enhance the provision for our students and their families. We support children and young people to recognise and value their own learning journey towards their own aspirations.
