Oak Class – Explorers Department
Oak Class is a happy, calm, and engaging pre-formal class within the Investigators Department. Our learning focuses on sensory development, communication, and independence through activities such as play, sensory stories, Sensology, PE, pre-phonics, and topic-based learning.
Communication is at the heart of everything we do, with intensive interaction, switches, PODD boards, and opportunities to connect with friends and staff. We celebrate achievements through Evidence for Learning and home-school communication.
Each pupil follows an individual physical programme alongside their physiotherapy goals, which may include standing, walking, hydrotherapy, and rebound therapy.
Most importantly, we love to have fun!
